What Treeskirt can do for you?

It all begins with an idea. An idea of a green space that becomes an extension of your living space. That idea can be transformed into a plan, a design, a project, and a long-term maintenance plan. At any point in your process, Treeskirt LLC can help you become successful. We can help with all aspects of the dream from start to finish to maintenance.

1. Design

How do you want to use your space? What kind of feelings do you want your space to suggest; such as romantic or magical, modern and clean, wild yet defined, etc … ? Let’s talk about color palettes and favorite plants that matter to you. Putting some of these dream ideas on paper in list formats is a great first step. Your research is then formatted into a personal design that will take all your dreams into account. The design can be built to scale or have some built-in flexibility, my personal favorite! It is the plan for the hard work that begins next. The design is hand-drawn to give it a one-of-a-kind plan for your personal space. The design will include a step-by-step process for those of you who want the satisfaction of doing the work yourself! The design will be 20-30 percent of the overall cost of the project, roughly.

2. Landscaping

This part of the process includes time, time, and more time. Making a garden is the most time-consuming, labor-intensive activity I have ever done. It is also the most rewarding activity I’ve known. It will open you to knowing yourself and the environment you are working in. This part of the process can be tailored to fit your needs. It is also the most expensive part of the process if you have it hired out starting at 70-80 percent of the overall cost of the project. Doing the work yourself and having the design contracted out is one way to save money on building a garden. Treeskirt LLC can help you with that!

3. Plant Retail & Garden Maintenance

To maintain a garden the soil must be fed with compost, humus-rich material, weeded regularly, watered, pruned, divided, and continually changing due to the changes in the seasons as well as the gardeners’ new loves. One year may be in love with roses and the next year it might be hydrangeas! Regardless, your garden will need lots of love and labor. Some of the Treeskirt are: trimming and removal of trees smaller than 12” in diameter, or bushes of most sizes; sell and plant new perennials or bulbs; weekly weeding or a time frame that works for you, adding yearly compost to your garden to improve the soil health.
